·    Meg Dover/Sugarplum Lollipop – Meg Dover is a sweet yet hyperactive 12-year old middle school student from Charlotte, North Carolina who moonlights as the magical girl superheroine defender Sugarplum Lollipop. She has been given a magical ring and powers from the compassionate alien goddess Cotton Candy along with her friends, Eleanor and Haruka (as the super team Sugarplum Commandos) to stop the evil goddess Princess Dark Licorice from enslaving the Earth and the entire universe. Meg comes from a working-class family. Her father is a high-profile entertainment lawyer. Her workaholic mother and techno-savvy hacker younger brother are the only ones her know her secret. Meg is sweet and caring but also hyperactive, and a little hot-tempered, ditzy and not a quick thinker. She is also a comic book and anime fanatic, quoting repetitive hero catchphrases and mimicking superhero poses. Despite her crazy and wacky strategies when fighting evil monsters, Meg has some good leadership qualities and a great moral booster. She proves time and again that despite her wacky ditziness, she is a true friend. Her standard powers aside from her usual magical attacks are supersonic flight and generating magic weapons with a mere thought. Her ring also provides her with disguise powers: it can disguise her into any form she wants, including stewardess, office worker, and others. She can transform into Sugarplum Lollipop by holding up her ring and shout the phrase "Sugary lollipop!"

·    Eleanor L. Waynewright/Sugarplum Lemon Drop – Eleanor L. Waynewright moved to Charlotte from England and is the heir to her family's multi-billion dollar global defense systems and military weapons mega conglomerate. She is escorted by bodyguards and owns her own highly trained private army. She has also has access to her company's hi-tech weapons systems, includes advanced weapons like assault armor (the mechsuits of the Anything Goes universe) and anti-air missiles. Eleanor is a snot-nosed spoiled brat, concentrating solely on shopping, going to parties, and supervising her assets. Not really socially active, before she met Meg, she is self-centered and cares about nothing but herself. After she met Meg, Eleanor learns the values of friendship and helping out others. Eleanor is a serious type, always professional in battle. During battle, she is a good strategist and tactician, analyzing enemy weakness and formulating battle plans. She is also a trained and qualified helicopter and aircraft pilot. Her favorite hobbies are Lacrosse, powerboat racing and horseback riding. Favorite foods are Bologna caviar, sushi, and broiled pork. Her preferred drink is aged sparkling apple cider. Like her friends, Meg and Haruka, she was given special powers and a ring by the alien goddess of good, Princess Cotton Candy, to battle the evil forces of the dark goddess Princess Dark Licorice, and preventing them from enslaving the world. Like her friends, her main powers aside from her usual magical attacks, are supersonic flight and generating magical weapons from a mere thought. Her special power is teleportation, she can teleport anywhere in the world and back through sheer will. Her ring also provides her with disguise powers: it can disguise her into any form she wants, including stewardess, office worker, and others. She transforms into Sugarplum Lemon Drop by raising her ring and shouted "Lovely Lemon Drop".

·    Haruka Ishawaka/Sugarplum Wintermint Chop – Haruka Ishakawa is a daughter of a Chinese businessman and his Japanese wife, although she kept her maiden name, which lived in Hong Kong for three years then recently moved to Charlotte. Haruka is secretly trained, unbeknownst to her parents, by a sacred warrior clan as a samurai/ninja hybrid. Haruka is disciplined to enforce justice and to destroy evil. Being friends with Meg and Eleanor and becoming a Sugarplum Commando gives her an opportunity to fight villainy after her years of strict training. She only lives by a strict code of honor, dedicated to protecting the innocent and defending those around her. Haruka’s favorite hobbies are training and practicing her sword skills. Her favorite food is sushi. Like Meg and Eleanor, she has been given a ring from the good goddess Princess Cotton Candy and was granted extraordinary powers. Her powers, aside from her usual magical attacks, are supersonic flight and superhuman reflexes. She has a mental ability to “sense” evil entities. She is fully trained in oriental martial arts disciplines and ninja combat skills. She carries a child-sized bokken/bokutō (wooden sword) which transforms into a candy-bladed katana which Haruka changes into Wintermint Chop and is used as her combat weapon in battle. Her transformation phrase is “Wonder Wintermint!”

·    Max Gibson/Mr. Mega – Max Gibson is Meg Dover’s high school classmate and friend who secretly moonlight and Mr. Mega, Charlotte’s first superhero defender two years before the arrival of the Sugarplums and now is their trusted ally. He secretly stole a prototype exosuit from his strict and overprotective weapons inventor father and dedicated his life to fight crime and evil in the city. His initial adventures caught the eye of Meg Dover (who would later become Sugarplum Lollipop) and she had a crush on him ever since. Mega is professional and stoic on the job, but also is kind, noble and nice towards his friends and the people he sworn to protect. His favorite hobbies is playing video games at home and doing homework. His favorite food is chilidogs. Max’s exosuit is a battle-ready prototype formerly tested for the US Military as the next-generation survival suit. It’s bulletproof and flame-retardant and enhances Max’s body with super-strength and amazing speed. It is also armed with several high-tech weapons like repulsar lasers, electrical taser shock-blasters, grappling hook and a utility belt containing gadgets and equipment, as well a Mega’s specially-modified “M” shaped shurikens (stored in his belt buckle) for ranged combat and disarming adversaries.
