CRUZADO KAMEN

· Alexander De La Diego/Cruzado Kamen
– (NOTE: “Cruzado” in Spanish for
“Crusader” and “Kamen” in Japanese for
“Mask”) Mysterious and romantic masked crusader from Mexico
City; former globetrotting adventurer and professional ladies man;
handsome but occasionally a goofball; has little self-esteem and prone
to stress; parents died in ski accident; inherits his late
grandfather’s mansion and defense company; found out that his
grandfather was the legendary swashbuckling crime fighter “The
Masked Matador”, who was famous for protecting and defending
Mexico City from gangsters and Nazi spies in the 1940s; decided to
become a crime fighter himself after seeing the corruption of the
police force and the ongoing criminal activity; more like a
fish-out-of-water type when is comes to crime fighting, he researches
his newfound profession by reading comic books and watching superhero
shows on TV; likes to be a public hero than a dark vigilante (has
frequent appearances on live TV); always like to swoon the ladies in
his Cruzado Kamen alter ego (beautiful female police got swept off
their feet when confronting him); favorite hobbies include skiing,
sampling wines and reading comic books; favorite food is spicy burritos
and stuffed jalapenos; Olympic-level athlete and gymnast; black belt in
judo and karate; don’t have any experience in detective work, so
his butler (much to his chagrin) and maid help him with investigations;
master fencer; sword is made of an experimental indestructible material
that is three times stronger than steel or aluminum; has access to his
company’s high-tech weapons division for gadgets and vehicles
· Rafael Francisco/El Poncho
– Cruzado Kamen’s young sidekick; more smarter when it
comes of the superhero biz that his partner; loves to play guitar
· Nigel McMullen
– Alexander’s trusted yet sometimes frustrated butler;
former British SAS (Special Air Service) operative who can handle a
machine gun at his age (he keeps a M249 SAW in the broom closet);
always gets upset at Alexander’s crime-fighting activities but
tags along nevertheless; sometimes helps Cruzado Kamen as the
gun-toting “British Commando”
· Kanako Mimi
– Alexander’s maid, martial arts/sword fighting trainer and
pilot; medium-sized jet-black brunette, moved from Japan before
Alexander’s arrival; cute, warmhearted and funny; trained in the
art of ninjitsu; occasionally aids Cruzado Kamen as “The Black
Sakura”
· Inspector Julia Martinez
– Beautiful seasoned detective with the Mexico City Police
Department’s Major Crimes Unit and former Interpol officer;
obsessed with arresting Cruzado Kamen who she believes, despite the
public view of him as a local hero, is still a vigilante and must be
brought to justice; redhead
· Detective Juan Sanchez
– Mexico City Police’s top detective working for the Major
Crimes Unit; has a somewhat different view to Cruzado Kamen that
opposes the those of Inspector Martinez
· Detective Jose Gonzales
– Detective with the Mexico City Police and Sanchez’s
partner; chubby physique; wears a trench coat and hat; always loves
donuts and coffee with cream; tags along with Sanchez on their cases
· Catherine Manuela/Dark Rose Blossom
– Reporter for the Mexico City newspaper The Daily Desperado who
moonlights as the swashbuckling crime fighter Dark Rose Blossom; long
jet-black brunette; she is responsible for the positive publicity about
Cruzado Kamen; has a secret crush on the hero and she aids him, both as
a reporter and as her alter ego; jet-black brunette; amazing
swordswoman and master gymnast with near-superhuman agility; master
martial artist; uses a whip as backup
· Ricardo Jimenez
– Leader of Mexico City’s notorious crime syndicate; views
Cruzado Kamen as an irritating nuisance who interferes with his
businesses time and again; seasoned fencer and swordfighter
